Emotionally Healthy Spirituality (Part 2)

Emotionally Healthy Spirituality (Part 2) course image
Description

You can’t be spiritually mature while remaining emotionally immature. In the course, you will unpack core biblical principles to guide you into an experience of lasting, beneath-the-surface transformation in your relationship with Christ. Join us for a powerful journey that will walk you through a door, forever changing the way you love God, others, and yourself. This course will utilize the materials developed by Peter and Geri Scazzero.

This course is Part 2 of our 2-part series, and will continue where Part 1 left off. The course will run for 8 weeks with a total of 5 sessions. Each session will be live, online and held bi-weekly. Sessions will last about 2 hours and include discussion, video clips, Bible study, and application work through small groups. The 5 sessions are listed under ‘Course Schedule’ below.

Course Objectives

  1. Introducing some of the theology, language, and concepts in emotional health and contemplative spirituality, which are essential for discipleship over the long haul.
  2. Forming better rhythms of work and rest in discipleship and deepening reflective practices for beneath the surface transformation.
  3. Creating space to dialogue, share, listen, affirm, and guide each other as we grow and mature in Christ in each of our local contexts.

Required Texts and Materials

Please note, these materials are required and essential to doing this course. We will be heavily using the materials, in and outside of each session. Not having the materials will make it difficult to understand core concepts of EHS and engage in each session. The course materials are to be purchased individually by each student (they will not be provided in class)

There are three books to purchase:
