This is a two-session workshop designed for aspiring worship leaders in small church ministries. This seminar offers practical, accessible training for volunteers stepping into worship leadership for the first time. Session 1, led by Joshua Perez, author of Worship Leading For Beginners, focuses on prayerful song selection, crafting singable setlists, and managing spontaneous moments to engage diverse congregations. Session 2, led by Kit West, emphasizes humble facilitation, technical excellence in slides and vocals, and fostering genuine, biblically grounded worship experiences. Both sessions include interactive Q&A periods with both instructors, ensuring participants leave equipped to lead Sunday services with confidence and authenticity.
Course Objectives
By the end of the seminar, participants will be able to:
- * Select and prepare congregation-friendly worship songs that align with Scripture and the sermon’s message.
- * Create smooth, engaging setlists with effective transitions, tailored to small church settings.
- * Implement practical techniques for clear vocals, readable slides, and tech troubleshooting to minimize distractions.
- * Lead worship with humility, confidence, and spiritual sensitivity, fostering an inclusive environment where congregations can connect deeply with Jesus through praise.
